Questions about Skin and Spell Values after Extended Break

To put it short recently I revisited my inventory most of which I had acquired about 5-6 years ago and was surprised to see how much certain items (certain strangers, spells, and skins) have increased in value. I looked on this forum and other places and saw that spells are apparently very “in” nowadays, and that their value isn’t calculated in the backpack. Is there an easy way to get a honest opinion on such an items value? I haven’t kept up with trading at all and never touched anything besides here and marketplace. If anyone has any experience or recommendations to get a opinion on this sort of thing it’d be appreciated.

strange professional kill streak lunar (exorcism)

strange professional kill streak poison (exorcism)

strange professional kill streak overdose (exorcism)

prof kill streak Australian minigun (exorcism)

that’s just a few that I know id like to look into letting go. I’ve had my profile and inventory private for years until recently because of spam, but it should be visible now if anyone wants to take a look further. This is my first forum post and if there’s any proper etiquette I should follow in the future I’d much appreciate the advice.

the poison with exorcism would be very dangerous so i dont think anyone will buy it

hehe no problem, I just thought it was funny. If you want some real advice, check out classified listings on backpack.tf. You can filter the item you have with the same spell and see what others are selling for.

 

For example, the kunai: https://backpack.tf/classifieds?item=Conniver's Kunai&quality=11&spell=Exorcism

 

Cheapest one is 105 keys. I would always list at or slightly below the cheapest seller if you wanna sell it quicker. You can do this for all your other items to get an idea of their pricing.

Make sure to note that prof KS buyorders are often for a specific effect

like for your kunai, plenty of buyers @ 105  for Team Shine Fire Horns, but a few state 80 for any pro ks w/ exorcism

 

if you just want some keys to play around with or buy other stuff, but don't want to wait around for offers, then, instead of quickselling to bots, you could make a Scrap.tf auction for it, starting at (or even above) buyorders, and maybe you'll get a few extra keys outta it (or maybe it'd just sell for 80, who knows)

I’ll look into that thanks for the advice! Is there any good way to find information on what the spelled overdose might be worth? I see a regular strange is worth next to nothing in this case would it being spelled add anything at all? 
 

im also going to assume older skins and strange weapons are more expensive because there’s less crates? Or is there something special about a shooting star and coffin nail that has caused it to be more valuable?

 

edit: I see I can search and filter by spell to see what others are selling for! Never mind on the overdose question!

Invasion items are pretty crazy expensive, partially because the crates are so rare nowadays, plus the reskins are cool lookin.

The overdose is kinda hard to value since it's such a niche weapon (not very popular.) But also since it's pretty niche, it's fairly rare, only ~300 strange ones with exorcism exist according to premium search: https://backpack.tf/premium/search?page=21&item=Overdose&quality=11&tradable=1&craftable=1&australium=-1&spell=Exorcism

you could always list the Overdose at like 20-30 and see what you get, I don't think it's worth 55 like that sell order right there xD

Good to know! I remember picking it up simply because it was such an odd thing. I’m not really in a position where I’m in a hurry to cash out so I’ll probably hang onto it for a while longer and start trying to more some other stuff
