i got multiple achievement hats but i didnt get any gifted to me

so i had this acct for what 5 years but i probably must have forgotten about it anyway i was going through my alts and i saw this i had multiple achievement hats and none of them were gifted or anything dont really know if its a glitch or what and i dont want to boot tf2 if there is a chance my inventory gets rolled/wiped anyhow i just want to see what people really think about this

The achievement hats you got from finishing the achievements on TF2. You won't lose any of them.

He has multiple versions of the same achievement items. 2 Gibuses 2 full head of steams etc. You won't lose them. Pretty cool man.

Ooo, cool, looked into it, and it seems all of these "duplicates" are not duplicates! You've somehow managed to get the same achievement rewards twice. For example, the original_ids of the haunted metals are different, 7900677051 and 7900677098 respectively (47 difference). This "47" difference is present with all your achievement hats, for example the difference for your gibus original ids is also 47! as well as the Military Grade JACK Hat(s). If you really wanted to i guess you could look up the original_ids of the items near this (7900677051 +- 10000) and see if something similiar happened to another during that time period. Did you use an achievment unlocker or something similiar (achievement_trade_engineer or whatever that map was called maybe?)? all these itemID's are really really close to each other.

i dont see any conflicting equipped items (aka two gibus being equipped at the same time in the same slot), but ill look into this a bit more on sunday:)

oh wow i guess you really went through with it. I must have used SAM to unlock the items but i used it multiple times for years in multiple accounts and nothing like this ever happened, i am actually thinking of making this account premium and actually crafting both haunted metal scrap items just for the sake of it. But i am really interested in what you gonna find about this at sunday so you could either hmu on steam or post a comment here and i will make sure to check it and see what you found about this situation

This is a known bug, usually happens to people who SAM during Tuesday maintenance (iirc).

I miss some of my achievement items, like I don't have any poker night 1 items because back in the day you could gift wrap them and sell them which as a kid I did lol

Someone on github figured out how to do it reliably but isn't sharing. You only get 2 of each.
