how to complement the payment of an object that does not have an exact value? (example: 3.6 keys)

for example I want to buy a hat but it costs 3.6 keys and I have 4 keys, how do I translate that 0.6 to refined metal to complete the trade?

if you hover over the listing, it will display how much refined metal someone is asking for

you could either sell your 4th key for refined, and add the 3keys+ref in a trade for the hat, or, you could trade 4 keys for the hat + change (add ref to the other side to receive ref as change)

usually easier to just trade your 4th key away for metal and then do the other trade afterwards with exact change

Liquidate a single key through scrap.tf or STN whichever is higher, I find liquidating through bptf bots incredibly fucking insufferable. Even if you get some loss it's like minimal anyway.
