new scammer wave?

was added by a bunch of fake trader who had a ss of gpan on their profile but next to none items in their bp, then found a bunch of other profiles that are very similar

all of these are scammers probs run by the same person right? 

if it then watch out for ppl like this

also worth mentioning but they all got thousands of hours in tf2 but if u look at how much hours they got on each class it's 0

i got added by a dude with a similar pp instead of a gpan it was a 2 aussie snipers in like a crossbones pattern

yea my friend got added by one with a ss on their profile of a gbh antlers

It's very likely, I've banned a whole bunch of those profiles because they had the bright idea of using the same fake copy-pasted trust on a good chunk of their alts.

Future reference, when linking scammers, you should grab the permanent link to their profile and not their custom id; because if they change it, the link becomes invalid. Whereas if you have the permanent link, the only way to not find them again is if they delete their account.

I did some comparison between each account and they seem to have almost the same people in the comments giving +rep to each account listed by you.

Plus they share the same screenshot of the pan LOL.

What usually scammers do is to set their inventory to private unlike most of these accounts. But they follow the same profile design pattern. And they used the same Asian guy's pictures for unusual reasons.

Might also be people adding you from your recent forum threads. Scammers using bp forums to find new "victims" is nothing new and your post was up on mainpage for a while.

i think they're using rep4rep which is basically a service to get loads of comments and stuff

I love how they bought thousands and thousands of worthless Payday 2 items for probably 3 cents each just to bloat there inventory number so they seem legit.

Dead giveaway is the achievements and overly descriptive profile headers. If you scroll to the comments, each one is talking about how they're "legit" or "kind and cool"

 

There's zero comments that change up that formula.

 

Chances are, these are all hijacked steam accounts from owners who no longer play videogames. Would explain the 15+ year history.
