I used to trade about 6-7 years ago and was decent at making profit. I recently unboxed an unusual which is worth like 50ish keys and would like to get back into trading and making profit. I kinda need some help on how to improve and know what's good/bad or just generally what to look out for and what to trade.

I'm a buyer not a trader but for resale I know you should stay away from taunts and weapon skins/paints.

buy low, sell high

don't listen to everyone nor trade with everyone, do your background checks. Flip low tier unusuals and work your way up. Don't expect too much nor too little, don't be stingy not too lenient. Know when to say NO and it is ok to say it.

 

Always price check, don't ever be sorry for taking your time to check. Don't be paranoid but always check everything you're doing.

Unpriced items

 

Unboxing (only if you have money you want to spend on this and not expect anything back)

 

People who flip between buy orders across sites (fuck whoever uses STN buy orders you can rot in hell)
