Was wondering about the ban appeal...

I'm not a scammer, never got that low but a month ago or so, my acc got suspended because my friend's suspended account (his account got suspended because of his brother's account) and mine were spotted in the same location so, I'm here as an "alt".

We went for a couple of mann ups and he dropped an aussie. Since he was suspended, I did the selling and now I'm here. I tried to convince the moderator and asked about what to do but never got an answer. If someone knows what kind of proof I can show, please let me know. Sorry for opening the topic here.

I mean, even if you aren't an alt, helping someone evade is still gonna get you banned.

I'm sorry to hear, Rmisor. I was banned for a good week, due to Marketplace.tf ban. I'll put the link below.

So you knew that your "friend's" account got banned because of trading with his "brother's" banned account and didn't consider for even a second that you would get banned as well if you trade with your banned "friend"?

Also can't really argue against you fencing for a site banned person, you even admitted to that yourself.

But think of it this way. My friend and his brother haven't traded at all, his account got suspended because they were sharing the same connection. The same happened to me or there is something I don't know about. What I did wasn't a scam at all, he bought those tickets with his irl money, and dropped the item by playing so, I don't know. There isn't much of a way to prove it then, thanks.

Honestly, I'm not a nerd of backpack, I get on once a month. I admitted, yes but like he is also a victim like me. The mod's argument was based on "How do I know if you are a real person?" and "How do I know about your intentions?" which led me to a dead end.

Yes people are usually banned with "alt of" reason when they're sharing the same connection, not trading items.

So that couldn't explain why you're banned if your story were true BUT the history of the aussie doesn't show "your friend" in the history (https://backpack.tf/item/13005142653), so bp.tf could link you to the alts only if you also shared the same IP of "your friend", meaning you're prolly the friend and/or brother here...

People are banned usually banned with "alt of" reason when they're sharing the same connection, so seems you're both the friend and the brother here

I believe they both got banned a long time ago but yes, that's what the system says.

If the trade is done fast enough, then yes, the history wont update to show exactly everyone (i think?)

 

However, if theres a certain period of time between trades, then it should show everyone, unless it was traded to a private inventory.

Well, in this case, the guy who obtained the Audio File traded his item before his backpack being updated, that's why it doesn't show in the history (huge gap between March and May, during which the item was created and the trade happened. Whatever he posted on forums, the trade was fast, the bp wasn't updated).

Here is a different story, the OP think (or persuade us) he got banned because he traded an item with a scammer (but neither us nor bp.tf could do the link with histories), so he got banned because he shared the same IP (him + his friend + his friend's brother prolly being the same person), period.

Could be an honest story too, just with private inventories. Regardless, JH put it nicely.

I mean I have the trade history and screenshots of our gameplay etc. Not only tf2 but other games too but it won't get me anywhere if I share them here. We are not the same person, it was probably because of the IP but I traded with him too so, I don't know.
