The Steam Claims Incident - I realized my mistake. Going to own up to it and reset my passwords, revoke api key, get out of the case, and use a malwarebyte scanner as a precaution.

Hey everyone! This is Russell!

I invested a decade to TF2, which is on the STEAM platform. I can't believe a monopoly was resulted into this.

Edit:

I checked the site and seemed legit so far earlier this morning. It was more early morning site look when I surfing youtube, but I didn't give any information that was sensitive like SSID, or my credit card or debit card. It was just my Steam ID and my emails which just in case I changed my passwords. I did it all on mobile using the Brave browser. I made a complete lapse of judgment and I'll own up to it and reset my passwords. I revoked API keys if there was any and flagged them as spam on my emails. Anyways better safe than sorry. ^_^

I've also retracted what I can with that. Truthfully I'm done I'll move on from it.

Anyways good luck and have fun I thought it would be interesting to share.

Have a great weekend!

I like to denote this verse below which motivates very much! ^_^

Philippians 4:13 AMP - I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] ^_^

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/916373-pc/80327000

So like, from what I got:

Some devs made a class action (note: not ruled on yet, but not completely tossed either?) against valve for being a monopoly

Game publishers/devs/whatever can join the class action, but steam users are not permitted due to ToS

Steam users can go through arbitration but it seems like no one has actually finished this process or the legal teams are trying to gather a lot of people before creating their filings (based on the gamefaqs link which is 3 months current).

Things I've noted:

It looks decently legit
However the site originally linked is not one of the 2 sites mentioned on the veriythis link

^ Butcher was mentioned as one of the lawyers hired by one of the other 2 sites though, odd

^ https://www.masonllp.com/case/valve-mass-arbitration/ this one seems more legit - still didn't sign up for it tho for reasons below

Only applies to purchases in the last 4 years

One of the lawyers said up to 60% on your purchases might be returned to you

The lawyers are going to take 40% of your winnings, if you win, for a total of 24% of your purchases (likely game purchases only (not ing items))

Arbitration as mentioned; not a suit

I'd just like to say to everyone saying this, class action lawsuit sites are some of the most ridiculous sketchy-but-legit things you've ever seen. This isn't exactly the same since it's not a class action but it's pretty status quo to have sketch surrounding the place on these things.

For an example, this is the site I had to use to join a recent facebook class action: https://www.facebookuserprivacysettlement.com/

You have an easy lawsuit if they retaliate and you'd probably get enough money from that to be worth it :D

Spycrab runners are dime a dozen backstabbing scumbags, if they run once who's to say they won't run again? Better to permanently ban them so nobody else gets scammed (perhaps for higher amounts).
