Heavy stuff

I'm cycling through every class so I can be a decent teammate in most areas, I'm currently maining heavy but I don't know what the best all round loadout is.

So far I have: stock/tomislav, choccy bar/sandvich, GRU/FOS (I haven't tried FOS yet but will do)

I'm torn over tomislav and stock, because sometimes tomislav is better and sometimes stock is better, if I were to use tomislav, how do I compensate for the slow firing speed?

Is the sandvich really that great?

Is it better to get somewhere quicker or survive long enough to get there?

Thanks for reading!

Family Business

Rest doesn't matter

Stock vs Tomislav is generally considered to be very equal, though if using a food secondary I prefer Tomislav

Most people will tell you sandvich to help team/banana to help yourself, but shotguns are lowkey great for that walk from spawn to team/dealing with scouts, I find it's often impractical and slow to pull out food when you actually need to

It might not be the best melee put please at least try the Holiday Punch. There is nothing funnier than watching a medic stare at their laughing ubered pyro, being unable to do anything. :)

Stock is usually better when you are right up near the targets, such as Steel which is a map with close corridors. Tomislav is better from a slight range, generally swapped when there are no tight corridors on the map.

Usually, I find that Tomislav is more popular in 5CP Last defense since it's a way more open space.

Sandwich vs. Banana difference is Minimal if you are staying with your team. It should come down to personal preference and what helps your team the most.

Fists of Steel and GRU are both very versatile. The GRU allows for quick rollouts especially in Highlander and in general. The fists of Steel allow heavy to cross a fully charged sniper's sightline and survive, making it a good choice for Last Defense.

TL;DR It depends.

Ahh ok, I might make different loadouts for A,B,C and D and just switch through them as the game changes ig

using brass beast with a food item is dumb tbh

i 100% advocate for the brass beast. just find a nice gremlin-appropriate spot and camp it for a free 7 kills. it is the ultimate weapon on thunder mountain.

Brass beast paired with a speedy shotgun and a sneaky heavy playstyle sounds like it's goofy but it works

My advice as a Heavy Main..Trading for a factory new Top Shelf Minigun will instantly make you better at playing Heavy. Fact.

Nothing as terrifying as a brass beast jumpscare
