How come when you buy a unique item and you killstreakify it, it loses its value on bp.tf?

I love how, since I made my strange unique ambassador pro ks, after the suggestion goes through, its still not gonna have a given price in my inventory... Still gonna look like a net negative of 1000 keys. Lovely bp.tf logic.
(I'd love the reasoning for this occurance, I get that you shouldnt be able to make exceptions on just a handful of items, but why not make SU's have the base price shown regardless of what killstreak effect it has applied?)
And would there be a possible fix? Even if thats only for Strange uniques and unusual skins? Since these are the largest groups where this is a problem.

This isn't a problem that plagues solely KS items, no matter the qualities. Pretty much any unusual skin and/or strange unusual items won't really be priced correctly, because there's a much lower interest or awareness of said items. Hopefully they get fixed in the future as well.

Since you overpaid for the sole purpose of having bragging rights that you own a 1,000 key Strange Unique, you could solve this issue by selling your Ambassador to yourself for whatever number pleases you as BP.TF uses SCM sales for killstreak items.

I wish it was overpay. The price doesnt make sense but all I did was bidding the highest but in pure.

Totally agreed. It has been talked about in the bp.tf dc. Hopefully we see some improvements with this site. I get that backpack.tf is far from accurate when it comes to 90% of my backpack (in value) but I'd still want something this precious to me personally to have its deserved valuation on this site.

It was listed at 500 pure two weeks ago. And you wrote in your trade that you were excited that it could be the highest priced.

If he had it listed at 500 and you offered 500 and he didn't accept it because he thought he could get more out of you, that's grounds for a report. But shown in the trade message you were happy he could be on the other end of the trade, so there's little malice.

Too bad I have a deeper understanding of others mistakes when it comes to trading. I wont snag an item for half of its actual value, I know theres a lot of other traders who would do this in the trading community, which is why Im planning on stopping completely once I get my collection sorted. Too much toxicity for me to handle over soon to be 8 years over two accounts.

So then you admit that you have overpaid for the item but masked as kindness for the seller, all while you now have bragging rights that you own a 1,000 Amby, while being an Amby collector. 500 was good for the Amby, 1,000 is too much. It's your money, so do as you please. But when you go around bragging, we know you paid too much just to say you have the 1,000 key gun in your hand. Even in the main post of this thread you subtle brag about it, instead of being specifically about the issue at hand. You can deflect it as toxicity though.

This change is something long overdue, I just found it fitting to mention it with an item that is genuine relevant item. It is literally the most relevant item of this topic as of right now. Mentioning it is apparently bragging, sorry if it was portrayed this way, I'm thinking more of it as a funny trade than anything, again, I did not see this item going for this much but I had to get it, and if 1000 keys is what I had to pay, it is what it is.

Be as disingenuous as you wish, taking the route of "not taking advantage of someone" who took advantage of the both of you fighting for it rather than honoring the 500 listing. 500, too, you act like it's chump change for a Strange Unique. It goes without saying that I rescind my previous remarks, but how I got to those conclusions especially with your bragging (which you of course have no intention of) is not unfounded based off of the observations of the time.

Have a good one man, all I want is positive changes to the one site with monopoly on item evaluation. That was and is my main intention.
Also, as previously mentioned, there has been a lot more happening behind the scenes, Ive literally offered more than 600 in quicksells for closer to a year, Im unsure of why he listed it that low in the first place.

I have an item that is affected by what you brought up as well, personally I don't mind because I think it's funny that my overall BP value is low. I think it should be changed but it doesn't bother me at the end of the day. I apologize for wrongly judging you and then bringing it up here as if it were fact.
