fex
Hello, I am getting into trading low tier skins for a couple keys because the profit margins are insane, I'm just having trouble pricing some skins. Using this an an example, I want to know how to price a Festivised Str. Spec KS BS Potent Poison Panic Attack, which is I believe 1/1 on market right now. It's hard to do because of how unique it is, but can someone walk me through the process of pricing such a skin and their reasoning? Additionally, if I price a skin that is 1/1 on market with no buy orders at 3 keys, how much should I give a starting offer to buy it for in a live negotiation? How far is too low? Anything is appreciated.

MILF Gaming
I'm not super familiar with the process and valuation of skins (especially niche low-tier trading, and much less so when the skins are applied), but I do want to mention that trading skins, especially on backpack.tf, is notoriously difficult. A lot of traders have a difficult time offloading their items, and it usually takes a loooooong time to sell, if at all. Most sellers have a much easier time using SCM for skin sales (though of course you have to deal with their fees and such). So sure it may seem like there's large profit potential, but your biggest hurdle is going to be finding buyers in the first place, let alone for the right price. Don't be surprised if you end up holding on to items for months and months, and also be ready to accept certain items may not sell at all, even with minimal (in any) profit. Skin trading (and I imagine even more so for low-tier), seems to be one of the slower and more frustrating facets of the market. As long as you keep that in mind and set reasonable expectations for yourself, it's all good. Good luck! Happy trading! EDIT: As an addition, I know there a number of traders out there that have had varying levels of success on scrap.tf auctions. That may be helpful to you as well. Yeah, I've found it's a bit slow, but I'm enjoying it so far. I don't really know what to trade otherwise, because profit margins seem slim around the 2-5 key range due to things being so liquid.
