Jokes apart, bptf values of fabricators are determined by their sales on SCM and sometimes skyrocket for no reason because people buy these items for an abnormal price, usually because of a wallet switch between accounts. I'm not sure why they wouldn't use an item with less steam fee on it though, as you have to fork over 15% of the funds to steam, and there have been items in the past which don't give the 10% revenue to the developers but rather have only a 5% steam fee.
