A promotional item to support Ukrainian children who became victims of war.

I live in Ukraine, which is at present suffering from a war. To date, there have been tens of children who have been killed, with hundreds more wounded. Many seek refuge from combat zones. I would like to suggest an event similar to Japan Charity Drive, when the TF2 store offered for sale a number of items (Humanitarian's Hachimaki, Benefactor's Kanmuri and Magnanimous Monarch), the earnings from which were donated to those who became victims of the the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.

Unfortunately, I do not have any 3D modelling skills and I do not have the time at my disposal to learn it, as I live close to the warzone myself. But I would like to suggest this sketch, a politically neutral symbol, a badge resembling a flower (Centaurea cyanus):

The TF2 community has supported many charities, and I hope that this initiative will not go unnoticed. If there is someone able to make such a model, please help us do it. It is crucial that the developers notice this suggestion.

i think it should not be something lame like a badge as this isnt an annual event,it should be hats like that japan charity drive.

I think he's trying to look for someone who can model a badge or cosmetic.

 

OP: you might find success looking at the workshop for people who have made stuff that has successfully made it into the game. I'm sure there are a few good souls out there who would be very willing to take on something like this.

I think this is the way to go. Not because I won't pay for "just another badge", but more because it'll get people talking, generating more attention, more hype and more insentive for people that aren't yet sold.

I do think they might do a Ukraine charity thing though, since we have valve's attention atm (due to the return of server-crashing bots. Sadly enough.)

It is complicated - but carving up territory and invading is not long term solution. Long term outcome of "soviet" type politics is whole middle/east Europe moving/running away from Russia.
