How do I get my items back from the trade bots of Marketplace.tf

Huge portions of my Backpack was traded to the Marketplace.tf bot and I want them back.

 

And no, can't find it on my Trade History.

That's because you did get scammed. I'm assuming somebody told you to deposit items into a "bot" to "verify they are tradeable" or some shit like that. They then took the items and ran.

 

The actual Marketplace.tf doesn't let people deposit items unless they are a whitelisted seller, so you wouldn't have that option unless you had submitted a successful application on the site.

 

As for what can be done, the items are lost, but both the fake bot and the person you talked with can be reported. You can get old chat logs from:

The thing is, the bot did return a Powerjack I traded as a test. But now, I didn't get them back...

 

Although, I thought Steam Support won't help regain your items anymore?

The bot in question was very likely not a genuine marketplace bot but a fraud

Reason it returns your powerjack is so that you think 'oh, it's legit I can now trust it with my much more expensive items now'

And no, steam support will not help you. Once you start trading, it is on you to protect your items. Valve has put enough protection between your items and scammers that you can't blame them for your items being scammed.

 

Your items aren't coming back, unfortunately.

Update, a guy from Steam Support helped me by giving me 10 keys and fill up most of my backpack along with some taunts : )

 

And I am going to report his scam on Backpack.tf at this very moment as I have the evidences to back up my claim.
