Orbiting effects more prone to breaking on sniper?

To me it feels like orbiting effects are always more broken on sniper. My first one just didn't show most of the time. My second one went in circles so big that you couldn't see it. My third one orbited 'round my waist.

Is this just confirmation bias stemming from the fact that I play a lot of sniper? Or is there a degree of truth to this? Input appreciated.

Note: Orbiting planets is an exception. That effect seems to be significantly more stable, for some reason.

eh

I have a circling effect (peace sign) that works fine on sniper, so maybe its just client side. As for a guess as to what's happening, i do know that the circling effects do travel differently on different classes, for example, if you equip peace sign on pyro engi or demo, it will curve down, and if you equip it on medic it will curve slightly up. But idk what that has to do with sniper.

I also have heard about and seen circling effects down to the waist, specifically orbiting fire seems to do that. I heard a myth about it once that it's just set that way via glitch and people somehow pay more for it? It's prolly bullshit or i just heard it wrong but the circling effect on the waist is a thing.

Yeah, not entirely sure if orbiting planets can really qualify as an orbiting effect, despite what it's name will have you believe. I mean like usually there's planets on both sides of the player at all times. But yes, I guess those planets are indeed orbiting. I have yet to see any bugs with orbiting planets either.

Orbiting is a key word here. Circling has worked fine for me too, both peace sign & TF logo.

The ones that don't seem to work are: orbiting fire, flaming lantern, power surge, and I'm guessing a fair few more, however I haven't owned those effects in a long time, if ever.
