Matching Sheen

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow gamers, I come with a question about Sheens. I have recently aquired a Professional Killstreak Kit for my Strange AWP, and was convinced that I had grabbed a good one with a matching color. Of course this was before I remembered that there are two green Sheens in the game, Agonizing Emerald, and Mean Green. I was curious of which of these is considered matching, and if there is any reason to have 2 green colored sheens in the game. This is purely a question of curiosity, I have no current plans to sell this item. Thank you for your time.

Same reason we have two purple sheens and two yellow sheens (if you’ll accept mandarin being yellow).

Idk, manndarin is pretty orange compared to daffodil

Agonizing is a more green coloured sheen meanwhile mean green is yellow with a little bit green in it. (good choice to go with the agonizing)
Hot rod is pink whilst villainous violet is as easily suggested, violet/deep purple.
Team shine is ofc red/blue
Deadly daffodil is bright yellow with a lot of white in it, sometimes it looks white.
Manndarin is definitely orange.
This is a great video that shows every tf2 killstreakers!

I'd say either green is a reasonable match - but Emerald is closer.

There can be more than one sheen which matches a weapon/skin. The eyerolling and shuddering comes from when people put an entirely non-matching sheen on a nice skin such as Emerald on a Current Event Scattergun, or Manndarin on a Macarbe Web weapon.

One is purple (violet) and one is pink (Hot rod). Know the difference please. Thanks

Emerald and Mean Green are pretty different, and out of the two, I definitely prefer Emerald. Not a fan of the more yellow-green look Mean Green has, especially with Pro KS effects.

I think you chose a good sheen :)

100% seconded. A lot of weapons are pretty versatile when it comes to matching sheens, but decorated weapons are a bit tougher. It really depends on the skin, as well as your personal preference of course.

Also, just want to drop my idea of an aqua/turquoise sheen, I think that'd look amazing
