I think it'll still be expensive for a while and when people stop unboxing en-masse for this crate, the amount unboxed will hit a more stable rate per month but since P Moon and the stare effects are way more desirable than F. Dimension, the price won't change as much when the event ends.

 

Most people aren't unboxing the 2017 H.ween case anymore and there's like 200ish fifth dimension bat hats, maybe 1-2 will be unboxed per month, but the price for the fifth dimension bat hat to begin with wasn't even that high even during release because the effect/hat wasn't that desirable, you can check SCM stats for lifetime and the hat peaked on release at $200 twice when the hat and effect were introduced, meaning during the event that was the most anyone paid for the effect when it was new; compare that to all the P Moon effects from this case that are capping at 300 to 500 being sold 5-12 times on the SCM, which shows how much more desirable this year's effects are.

 

I mean look at the Unusual Universal Translator, the most common unbox is the Nebula effect, but it's 300x more expensive than all the other effects. In the end it's visual preference over rarity.

You under estimate the sheer quantity these are being unboxed, just give it till the end of the event and there will be 200 of these. Theres already 50 on day 10

It's never going to be 'dirt cheap' like Fifth Dimension - problem with 5D is that while it looked incredible in the workshop, it's rather disappointing in game. Any futher than 6 feet away and it just looks like a comically oversized afro.

Pumpkin Moon on the other hand actually looks great in game. Plus it looks very similar to the expensive old effects people worship so it gets that familiarity based boost because new ideas are for hipsters.

 

I can see it getting a bit cheaper in coming months, but I wouldn't say dramatically cheaper.

oops I misread the title, yeah the spooky bouncers are going to be cheap, the effect however not so much.

also spooky bouncers are ugly but you can kind of hide them with a max's head

Actually 5th dimension looked garbage in the workshop and even in game, no idea why anyone ever thought it would be good lmao

 

Pumpkin Moon is nice, especially on an allclass hat. It has better meme material with the eyes than the ugly ass bat hat. but if there are too many then it will never be god tier, it'll be relegated to shit like Frozen Icefall etc.

 

Although Knifestorm and Stormy 13th hour were shit in the first few years after they came out compared to Moon, so if TF2 survives another 5-10 years then Pmoon will go up there.

Heres an interesting thing, the computron 5000 is a really good hat for hiding other hats, so it looks like the computron is unusual itself. The head bouncers don't really fit into that catagory, but could almost make a good combination. the bouncers with monoculous variant, the computron and the beep man kinda look ok. Strange, but kinda cool.

Could also quickswitch it inside a Dark Helm, or for all-year round quickswitch it into the Teufort Knight
