How to search on SCM for unusual effects?

Hey, as the title indicates, I would like to know how to search for specific effects on the SCM as typing in the effect doesn't seem to work. Thanks!

You need to also check the box that says "Include descriptions" in the advanced search. Keep in mind that this also pulls up people's custom descriptions from tags and a common SCM scam is to use a description tag to add fake info to trick people (For example, someone will take a N&B hat and give it the description "Unusual Effect: Sunbeams", making it show up for anyone searching Sunbeams), so be careful.

Doing that, and your search result would look something like this:

https://steamcommunity.com/market/search?q="green+confetti"&descriptions=1&category_440_Collection[]=any&category_440_Type[]=any&category_440_Quality[]=tag_rarity4&appid=440#p1_price_asc

Thank you good sire!

It's also worth noting that this method works when searching for Strange Parts and Spells if you want to look for those. However, they're susceptible to the same scam as SCM unusual effects, so if, for example, you look spelled items up and find a double-spelled Australium RL that's at a price that seems to be too good to be true, be sure to double check and make sure a description tag hasn't been applied.

you can avoid these scams easier if your steam language isnt set to english as tags tend to be in english
