Have not unusual traded in 2 years, what has changed?

Hi all, I used to unusual trade a bit 2 years ago (on a different account) I'm getting an itch to try it again and wondering if it would be worth the effort.

What I remember:

Anyone could sell anything on marketplace except keys

Classifieds were basically the only place to find trades, there were some smaller sites (tf2-outpost, bazaar, disc groups) and then firepowered+vatican which didn't really seem to be worth the effort

Bots had completely taken over low-tier trading, there were some price-cutting bots on very very low tier unusuals

It wasn't considered a quicksell unless it was like 40% off

Crate depression happened and I think all 3rd gens dropped from like 15 keys to 7 and literally nobody wanted them for the longest time

Lots of smaller trading site that you could sometimes use to make profit (tf2mart)

Maybe I was just bad at telling if a hat was good or not but it seemed like nobody really wanted any 1st/2nd/3rd gen effects anymore, even the top 1st gens

Idk I might drop a couple hundred to try it out but I'm a little afraid I'll get burned by trying to do what I used to do

1.Now only whitelist people can sell things on marketplace

2.Classfield aren't only place to find trades, you can find them on firepower too not much but still, however vatican is ded so...

3.Bots taking over low tiers yes so i suggest jump right on mid tier if you have the experience in unusual trading

4.Since bots taking over buy orders best way to buy quicksell now is paying 0.5-1k on low tier, 2-5k on mid tier and so on

5.Crate depression happened like almost 2 years ago and 3rd gen now recovered so you don't have to be worry about it

6.You can make profit out of small sites but i wouldn't suggest since it's a waste of time

7.There are people still love 1st/2nd and 3rd gen but not much because most people nowadays focus on effects like robo, EOTL or even old halloween since it provides a big profit margin (few owners and the effects are just too good)

In short: tf2 trading in 2021 still good? no

can you still make profit in this 14 years old game? yes

will i start taking my schizophrenia pills? maybe

Vatican is active, not as much as firepowered but ye it is. on weekends both go full.

Bots are a majority of low tier unusuals still there is potential to trade with them it's not difficult, and yeah most unusuals are not priced so best to research before trading
