If someone is trying to trade pure on your end for their Unusual, it better be a dang good deal. If it's literally any Gen 1-3 that isn't Sunbeams, Burning/Scorching, or either Purple Energy or Green Energy - don't bother. Youd be lucky to get more than 13 keys back for any of them. Strange doesn't add all that much real value to an Unusual, and I doubt it even adds any here because, let's face it - who is buying a Big Elfin' Deal for the longterm.

I do not understand why nobody gives first gens the respect they deserve anymore like it's first gen it's been there from the start even the worst first gen has to be worth more than 16 keys bht it's not on top of that this hat is STRANGE those with unusual are more than 10 times raree than strange but in our current bad economy even that gem of a hat is worth less than 16 keys I don't understand

Just because it was the first set of effect doesn't mean it's the best effect set lol

Everyone hates Nuts+Bolts and Flies for being awful effects but Peace Sign actively makes your loadout look worse imo

first gens do get the respect they deserve when they actually deserve it, for example sunbeams or scorching flames

As a gamer, someone who truly appreciates and cherishes tf2s history I find this new generation of traders extremely disrespectful to those of the past if the first gens were the best in the past why can't we follow in the footsteps of those who came before us paying extra for some stupid gimicky Halloween is dumb when there are gems like this why are strange burning all classes not thousands of keys like the stupid bonzo jats I don't understand

uh well not really a scammer just made a stupid mistake of not knowing boundaries and sent someone a phishing link as a joke which didnt really have any clear indication of being a joke therefore kinda deserved the ban lol

This is like saying 'McDonalds should only ever sell cheeseburgers, why does anyone ever buy the McChicken they're stupid'

Just because it's the first doesn't mean it's the best - if you're not improving your designs, offering new ideas, you're limiting your customer base and setting yourself up to fall out of relevance. If Metallica stopped at Kill 'em All, we'd never have Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets.

 

If you genuinely think gen 1 effects are the best (ie you're the guy who goes to McDonalds and only ever buys a cheeseburger and fries because that's all that was on the menu back in my day) that's up to you. More people prefer the style of halloweens, the exclusivity that comes with there being a very limited amount of them in circulation, and knowing that the demand for them will continue to drive the prices up.
