Highest price ever paid for a simple decorated item?

What is the most God tier pattern? Or was it a spelled item or maybe a BS Dragon Slayer.

If there are postlife spelled non-unusual skins, it's probably one of those since collectors can pay multiple hundreds of keys for postlifes. If not counting spells, I'd guess either some Strange Fac New Frozen Aurora skin with an insanely good pattern or some Strange Fac New Elite Grade.

 

Edit: Actually probably not the Frozen Aurora, they are a lot cheaper than I remembered.

A lot of the Strange Gentlemanne collection skins (Or any contract skin for that matter) can easily reach absolutely absurd prices in FN condition since the only way to get these is to trade up previous grades.

For instance, Factory New Civilians from the Gentlemanne collection are around $17 on SCM right now and if you wanted say a blue or even a purple skin from this collection in STRANGE, you would easily be paying hundreds to thousands of keys since you require 100 civilians for a blue or 1000 civilians for a purple.

Granted you can risk using other skins in the trade up to lower the overall cost of it however you end up risking getting something worthless from the trade up.

Agreed, but the question here was about decorative weapons, not strange versions of them...

Probably the most expensive I've ever seen a decorated item is a strange unusual factory new Warhawk Rocket Launcher. Don't remember if it sold / what it sold for, but everyone was price estimating it at 2-3 gpans.

 

If you mean non-unusual then probably some of the post-life spelled ones in factory new strange variants. There's a strange flamethrower with that pink lightning pattern with halloween fire for sale for a shit ton of keys rn.

I honestly have no clue what the answer actually is. Assuming you meant one in plain Decorated Weapon quality, neither strange nor unusual, then my best guess would have to be a rare gen-1 spelled high-tier skin. Something like a Thunderbolt FN Exorcism Sniper Rifle, if such a thing even exists. Or a Warhawk double-spelled RL.

 

Although, it would be pretty funny if the answer was just something like a random cancer-tier skin, such as a Civic Duty Mk.II Detonator (FT), that sold on the SCM for $1,500+ USD.
