I'm currently at 100 keys, and tradings been kinda slow. How do I know what kind of unusuals to invest in? And more importantly, what kind of things do I need to look at to price check an unusual? Thanks

This really comes with experience more than anything else: No amount of guides will ever replace that. You will eventually find your niche, something you're familiar with.

But one thing's for sure: you can avoid unusuals that look bad, have crowded markets (tons of sellers, buy orders super close to sellers), etc.

 

TLDR: Buy unusuals that look good AND have a good buying price that you can flip now or later.

Oh and also, place buy orders and alerts. Some hats have ridiculously low buy orders (even though they sell fine) which you can use to your advantage.

I always like hats where mine is the only hat with that effect available anywhere. Sometimes you get lucky and someone has to have it, no matter the price.

This is maybe something stupid, but I always buy unusuals that I like, that above all else is my first rule, because if the unusual doesnt sells in a while I can enjoy using it in game so is not that urgent. Obviously considerating the regular stuff such as: the ammount of sellers, the potential profit between other sellers and buyers etc.
