How Many Upgrades Can You Put on a Weapon Before it Maxes Out?

I am curious to know how many upgrades can a person put onto one gun?? by upgrades I mean like: Strangaifiers, Killstreak Kits (that includes Specialized Killstreak and Professional Killstreak Kits), Festivizers, Strange Parts, Spells, Nmae Tags, Discription Tags Before the that particular weapon can be upgraded no more? Or is something like that not really possible? or Is it?

There's a limit for each type of item, but no total limit. So there's nothing stopping you from having a Strange Festivized Professional Killstreak weapon with a custom name and description, 2 spells, 3 strange parts, and a strange filter.

I meant can something like this exist for weapons like: Original, Bazaar Bargain, Tomislav etc..... and how many upgrades can be added to "Collectors" weapons?

So yes you can have a double spell triple part pro ks original, you'll only be able to exorcism on the tomislav or bazaar bargain (if they exist spelled? I never see them and spells were before my time)

If you're talking about the total amount of extra items that can be applied:

• 3 strange parts
• Strangifier for specific weapons
• Name tag
• Description Tag
• Killstreak kit
• Festivizer
• Strange filter
• 2 Spells
• Gifted tag
• Paints

 

The only weapons that can have 12 total are the Air Strike, and the Cow Mangler if a painted one has double spells. The Cow Mangler can't be festivized, so it can't hit the grand total of 13.

 

For cosmetics, the highest you can hit is 12 as well for any cosmetic that has a strangifier. You can put glitched killstreak kits on cosmetics, so they can have everything but the festivizer.

 

And if you really wanted to go for maximum bloat, you can keep doing things to re-apply the red "untradable until xyz" tag on the item via steam community market stuff.

 

The Air Strike can be collector's and have a strangifier applied, though this still only counts as 12 total since you can obviously use the strangifier on a unique quality one, but a strange collector's festivize professional killstreak air strike with all the other above minus the paint is probably the biggest / bestest thing you can make.

 

(Edit: said the Phlog can have 12, but the phlog can't be painted or festivized so it's total is only 11.)

collectors version of weapons can only exist like that when there's a strangifier for it, (off the top of my head) including: the phlog, third degree, cow-mangler, cleaner's carbine, mannmelter, pbpp, air strike, classic, righteous bison, vaccinator, pomson, widowmaker. any of these, aside from the vaccinator, can have exorcism, the phlog can have halloween fire, and the cow-mangler and air strike can have pumpkin bombs. but most of them can't be festivized. excluding the air strike. 

so hypothetically a strange collectors professional killstreak festivized air strike, with a name tag, description tag, three parts, a strange filter, and two spells is possible

 

edit: the longest hypothetical name i can find is the

there's also glitches that used to exist to add other special tags, like the loaner tag, and you can make items untradable. if you want the absolute most amount of shit on a weapon.

edit: forgot to mention the countless glitches over the years for adding more characters to name and description tags

That glitch was really specific though and limited exclusively to Gun Mettle and Invasion items.
