New Name Tag Glitch

I've noticed a huge amount of these being sold by a small group of people that have been abusing it.

This is a new glitch that allows over 40+ characters on nametags (rumored to be 125+) as well as more on descriptions for weapons as well. This is only a stock weapon thing only.

The market is slowly getting saturated with these which can most certainly devalue them or potentially cause a more widespread thing.

It's unknown how it is being done, however it seems to be like, done through messing with trade servers or messing with the code similar to the old glitch.

I would watch out for buying these glitched items, as these people are profiting more than what they originally sold, you can find these for about ten keys.

I noticed that today with an individual who was selling them for 50+ keys each.

 

Based on TF2Tools.. several of the weapons were created on July 8th 2021, which is impossible. (Either this is a time glitch from the User or an incorrect number from TF2Tool’s side.)

Anyways, yeah some people found out how to do the exploit and carried on from there. I reported this bug for over a year and it never got patched.

Would you be able to give an easier to follow tutorial? i want funny long bat name
What's a control character? A lot of this stuff is quite hard to follow for someone that doesnt mess with the game's files all that much.
