Is he a real user or a scammer?

A 'trusted' trader redirected me to this discord user after my account got hijacked. Is he a real admin or just an impersonator?

If you were redirected to some random on discord, the likelihood is that you were scammed or trying to get scammed further since discord chatlogs are very very hard to use as evidence since you can't completely say that discord user is the same steam user that you trade with.

 

trader 5 might have impersonators, they are a rather well known tf2 and csgo trader

They will never try to contact you directly, specially via Discord. You were involved in a common impersonation scam attempt.

Maybe should have done some background checks on the person you are trading with before proceeding with the trade. You just fell for a common impersonator scam, there is nothing you can do other than learning from your mistake.

I checked his (trader 5) bp.tf profile directly from his Steam profile (copied the steam url) and there were no suspicious things

He was selling a green energy dancing doe and thats what i wanted to trade for. The item was in his backpack (steam and bp.tf as well), but my account somehow still got hijacked afterwards

I will make several reports to get him a scammer status tho

Did you get linked a steam url from your chatlogs? If so, likely an impersonator

Looking at your description, if a person ever messages you on discord and does not have his steam linked but proceeds to link you to someone else, it is most likely an impersonator. Additionally, if you think your trades are being redirected, check this link https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey. If the box is checked, you should uncheck it and change your password immediately. Otherwise, not much you can do about the missing items other than learning from your loss.
