I had some buy order listings up and someone offered me an unusual which was 1 ref away from another seller but my trade specified that i wasnt buying unless it was 1k away from another seller but the guy was pulling my arm saying he would report me if i didnt so i ended up accepting the offer but i was curious if me specifying that i wasnt buying that close to other sellers made it ok to decline it or if it was punishable by a ban if i didnt. Thanks

You need to pay the amount you specified on your buy order. You will get warned on your first offence if you do not honor your buy order and someone reports you. Nobody got permabanned from doing this from what I've seen (ex: itrem95, Criminal^, Sprekt, etc)

you get warned if you dont pay what you promise to pay and you clearly specified how much youre going to pay so the other guy was just cheap

I know this thread is locked, but i'll still reply as I don't think it was really answered.

You can be banned permanently for breaking this rule, yes. However I have never seen this happen as most people just accept their list prices and noone to my knowledge has stacked up enough bans of this kind to be permanently banned.

You must accept your list price.

This ^ does not matter. If its your list price, you must accept unless you have a valid reason (or concern about the user sending you the offer) to decline.
