TripleMasterA Posted October 11, 2020 Share Posted October 11, 2020 I see that they became a retired case when october 1st hit because of scream fortress so they shouldn't be dropping anymore, but when I look at the stats page it increased by like 30,000 cases post october 1st? Posted October 11, 2020 Share Posted October 11, 2020 Backpack.tf updates the number of items 'in existence' for their stats page when a new item is discovered in a user's inventory when they update their backpack on Backpack.tf. It can be misleading to use that since essentially the statistic measures how many summer 2020 cases are in the hands of Backpack.tf users. I say this because if you look at the backpack stats for even super old cases(4+ years) they were still going up in existance. Cant say for sure but thats always been my assumption for it. The only cases that seem to have the number in existance go down didnt drop many to begin and must have been rare from the start or have unbox rate that outdoes the rare drop rate.
