I just treat others the way I want to be treated (because I know for sure I'd get irked if someone went on screeching like a banshee how wrestling is god's gift to mankind. Nonstop. IMO, it's the people you look out for, not their interests in shows or whatever.) I haven't really had it that bad though, pretty much just a comment or two while playing TF2 about being a "pony-loving f*gg*t". (The amount of how much I care is astoundingly low.) Anyone been called worse? On a last note: I don't exactly preach the show like it's a gift from god. It has adorable ponies, some decent music (IMHO), and adorable ponies. That does not mean I'm drunk on the whole 'Friendship is Magic' thing, for if I was I would not be playing American Football and Lacrosse. Also, I think that the only reason bronys have a bad rep in some parts of the internet is because of the 'In-Your-Face' Bronys. Gah, they're too dang annoying. And if you're actually comparing a religion to liking a show- I have just three words for you, my friend: LOL. And are you kidding me? I literally showed you proof that the creator said that it was for the parents to like just as much as the kids. Yeah, of course. Imagine what the bronies would do if the creator said it was a children's show. They make a decent amount of their profits from 21 year old neckbeards. Bronies realize that people find their watching habits controversial. Knowing this, they still set their names to "Perseus Dash Jackson" and the like. The majority of bronies (afaik) has a pony in their avatar, often talks about MLP, often links us to clips of MLP, and often does everything they can to include references to MLP in their profile and inventory. That and what Pony Engineer said: I used to hate the shit out of it, but a friend of mine tied me to a chair and made me watch all of season one. In all seriousness I admit there are a lot of in your face bronies, which I agree is aggravating. The people like this guy on youtube called "Digibrony" Who over analyzes every episode, makes you think "They're freaking talking horses on a kid show, nothing deeper," You're probably thinking "You're one to talk, you're name and profile says it all". Trust me, that's as far as it goes with me. There are also haters who are in your face too, I've been invited to a few antibrony chat rooms, they're actually pretty funny. In all seriousness being a brony helps me not judge people, because I think "Hey, I watch a show for little girls, why should I judge you?" Really though, brony obviously, and it seems this community is pretty brony friendly. It helps me not judge people. It's hard to form negative opinions of people when I remember that I obsess over anthropomorphic animals. When season 2's last 2 episodes came, i've said to myself 'Well, it turned to something awful.' After it i've stopped watching.When later my friend shown me season 3, i've decided 'Okay, I quit.
