Perhaps you should open your mind a bit. Or are you the type of person who goes "Oh, you listen to INSERTBANDHERE? Well you suck because I said so!"

P.S Follow this link if you want proof that the show wasn't made to appeal only for little girls: http://www.thegeekprofessor.com//graphics/other/mlp/faust_defends_bronies.jpg

That's from the person who created the show, btw.

Still creepy as f**k

Still creepy as f**k

Yeah because I mean if you watch something for giiirls then you're obviously a pedophile. Because girls only watch girly stuff.

The funny thing is this show was made exactly to remove that stereotype. But unfortunately, people are always gonna be sexist. I mean, what's the difference between it and Powerpuff Girls? Foster's Home? Is an adult enjoying those shows creepy? They're perfectly good shows with elements that'll appeal to anything. Oh, and just by the way, Lauren Faust, the creator of MLP? She worked on Powerpuff Girls(and her husband created it) and she was the main guy behind Foster's Home. But sure, keep calling it creepy because a man can't possibly like something that girls also like.

I wish I could deny certain server mods. I.e. Ponyspenser can go to fucking hell.

I have a sound mod which makes the dispenser idle sound the intro bit from Take On Me by A-Ha. No pony deserves the right to even so much as think about singing over a song from the 80's.

Yes. Adults obsessed with kid shows are creepy.

The only cartoon I have watched in the recent years is Death Note, and I must say that it was quite good.

And that would put you almost a decade out of the loop regarding the entire genre.

No I'm not a brony. I never watched any episode, but Cleverpun sent me some of the stuff she wrote about it. Was actually quite decent. I don't give a shit what you guys watch. You can wear pony hats in tf2 or use sprays, I don't give a fuck. The only thing I dislike are people that mic spam "omfg ponehs be kewl ur all losurz". And about pony porn, well if that turns you on, who am I to judge?

Sure, I'll admit that adults being obsessed with a show aimed only at kids might be a little weird. Not that weird though, because tastes differ.

But I don't see what that has to do with this conversation, seeing as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is NOT a show aimed only at kids. And if you disagree, you are not only disagreeing with the channel that aired it, but also with its creator. That's like going up to J.K. Rowling and telling her that Harry Potter is a book meant only for adults.

I went through a weird phase of the 2012 (I was 13) summer where I watched 3 seasons of MLP:FiM

I was a officially a brony for maybe 4 months in school after that and even got a girl who loved it to quiz me on the show

I'm not a brony now. Never. Ever. Again.

oh man, its not like girls don't draw erotic fanart as well!

with that being said, i do think that the entire fandom as a whole should tone down the sexualization. or, y'know, put it somewhere where the kiddies won't find it.

I don't really care if you watch my little pony or talk to your friends about mlp... that's your business. But when you put it in your avatar and name and start annoying me about it I won't think twice about putting you in a gas chamber I won't hesitate to summon the black sacrament on you.

The biggest problem there is that most of the fanbase isn't into stuff like that, but that small percent that is, is unfortunately very vocal and in your face about it, and thanks to the internet, can be in more people's faces than in previous generations. And they won't stop because thanks to the magic of the internet, they can connect with the few supporters they have, which just keeps encouraging them to make more in the wake of the "haters". And to add to that, those people overlap with the furry fandoms, which also have a problem with some people getting all uppity when they feel they're being "fursicuted".

Yes. I just enjoy the show and play TF2 on a few brony servers. I have 3 items mlp-themed, and that's it. No pony sprays, at least not anymore. This is my spray now.

Furries aren't a fandom my friend, if you really believe that you are incredibly naive.

It's both a set of fandoms and a sexual festish. But that doesn't really affect my point as still for every several thousand people that just consider characters like Minerva Mink or Chetarra attractive or just wonder what Breaking Bad would look like if set in the universe of Disney's Robin Hood, there's that one dude who draws sexualized images of himself as a wolf shitting himself screaming "Look at these and accept me!". And that's the guy everybody else sees.

I have never even met or heard about someone being a brony in real life, I guess it is an american phenomenon. Either way it is pretty pathetic.

It happens in Antarctica too >:I

Mic spamming with anti-non-brony hate gets annoying, and I find clopping extremely fucked up.

Same exact thing happened to me, like wtf, we must be twins or something.

I'm not, but one of my best friends is. I dont really care, unless, like other people have mentioned, you are annoying about it and incorporate it into your everyday life like some people do. Its just a show, you don't really see any other fandoms of a show that freak out as much (ok, maybe a couple, but still -_-)

yeah, and whats the airtime? 9pm? no, its 7am. when parents are sleeping and the kids are up watching tv already. every kid show is made for the kid and for the parent, just because the parent have to endure the program. doesnt mean its for the parent.

and no, i dont need to open my mind, i could be a nazi and you couldnt care less. but if i started spewing propaganda on you only talking about how awesome nazis are. would you open your mind towards me?

or to take something more lightly. you are a hardcore atheist, and im bombarding you with propaganda from christianity, should you open your mind towards what i have to say or do you rage?

I don't rage. I debate with you about it. And if you're actually comparing a religion to liking a show- I have just three words for you, my friend: LOL.

And are you kidding me? I literally showed you proof that the creator said that it was for the parents to like just as much as the kids.

Actually, it's 4 PM on the weekdays, and 10 AM on the weekends. Though it doesn't really matter as the earlier seasons are on netflix and everything is on youtube so people can watch any episode whenever.

yeah. every game creator of 15+ games says its aimed at mature people. yet its only 10-20 year olds playing the game. just because someone says it. doesnt mean its aimed at it.

and yeah, im comparing religion to a show, because most bronies take the show as a religion. they relate to every fucking thing with that show

scott: what was the airtime when the show wasnt favoured by 25 year olds?

When it first came on it only aired on the weekends, but still at the same time. Though the brony fanbase started at pretty much the same time (most people considered themselves interested in the show after 2-3 non pilot episodes), both the silent majority that just went "Huh, that wasn't bad at all. In fact, it was actually good." and the visible minority that decided to flood 4chan, reddit, and other such sites with ponies because troll logic. And even back then, the episodes went up on youtube a few hours after they aired.
