Flamadin
Might be the perfect time, as they were starting to shoot up, but then a whole bunch more came into existence with the new summer crates being opened. Soon people will slow down with opening those, and then in about 6 weeks unusualifiers (and spelled items) hit their yearly peak.
Brown
Wonder where all the hype is coming from, I haven't seen any especially good-looking taunt effects on the workshop. Feel like investing just because of last year's demand isn't such a good idea, especially if they come out with crap effects, or none at all. Maybe they'll re-release some of the old effects? TripleMasterA
Edit: I'm dumb Maybe not. Scream fortress and Smissmas cases are coming which will pollute market even more.

Is about following market trends, last year unusualfiers have a 1.5x increase in price, so this year should be the same. New effects will come out and people will hype buy regardless if is bad or not, and unusualfiers basically gains access to new hween effects and more importantly is that they are tradable assuming you got both the taunt and unusualfier before the update drops. Additionally, if no new effects come out this year (probbaly unlikely but it happened before), then last year's Hween effects will replace it, which will also boost sales of unusualfiers because people who missed it want the new effects. In the short run, it will have a boost in price cus high demand, but in the long run, the new effects will decrease in price cus of the increased supply. In short, new effects will probably come and unusualfiers will increase in price thanks to that.

I guess I feel like it's not as guaranteeable of a trend as people think it is, especially if so many people are in on it. And that if they came out with like 3 crap effects and nothing else or something stupid in comparison to last year's, unusualifiers would go down. I would've used unusualifier prices from the year before last to show how they faired with last years better effects, that they somewhat correlated with how good the effects look, but the price jumps seem to vary with some taunts. One thing I havent considered tho is how many more new players there've been since last hween, how many people there are in general, the supply is guaranteed to be met regardless of how many "investors" there are, and like what you said new effect hype is eternal. Then I'd be stupid for not jumping in
