A new TF2 Outpost?

We've all missed TF2 Outpost, and it doesn't matter that the original admins were kind trash. However, last year there was a "fake" - TF2 Outpost. A TF2 Outpost clone, which had all the capabilities and was legit. However, due to copyright concerns it was closed. Though, I found out the owner opened another site - https://tf2trade.org. So as a man who likes security i checked it with a fresh steam account, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Traders had the items in their backpacks, and when I logged in with my alt and tried sending some trades nothing was redirected. So, to me it seems legit. I wonder if people will start using this site....

Not sure why everyone doesn't speak about bazaar.tf. It's a great website and in my opinion at least, was better than outpost.

because it's not used by a lot of people

Right now we will need a replacement for Marketplace.tf, without it the economy will be impacted for sure.

I mean we need to find a safe way out for traders who want to cash out partially or totally

Bazaar.tf is a good replacement for outpost.

Like Forgivable said, we need to find a replacement for Marketplace.tf, cuz thats going down soon [December 15 2020], It will heavily affect the safety when it comes to cashing out.

Bazaar.tf, but I agree with some people that there is not a lot of traffic there and you can see newer, inexperienced traders highball their hats and lowball the hats, which is what I and a lot other traders felt about the place.

https://mannco.store/

They take half the commission that marketplace does. Looks like they only have one payout option though, which comes with a $3 deduction, and less filter options when buying, so maybe not as user friendly. But makes a good replacement unless something scandalous happened that I've missed

Something nice to have would be something like Csgo's Buff, where, from what I've heard, you don't have to deposit anything until you make a sale. I don't know of the fees and registration process but that'd be something nice to have, a trade-less cash brokering service, if only just to make cash trading appealing to more people

Hey I expected someone to mention that site here, you do realise a majority of the community despises that site right? The site is controlled by mods who are steamrep marked and buyers have to pay a fee. Additionally, there are allegations  that they have members ddos Marketplace and Backpack.tf sites. So if you want to support people like that, then go ahead, but I can ensure you a majority of us will not be using scammco after MP closes.

Hah, how'd I know, figured a burning tc (and self made max's?) sold there before, must be legitimate right

guess we'll technically still have marketplace for convenience buying, I don't see much alternative for selling though.

So the solution is to create a new website...? I'm confused. And plenty of people use it, just no one talks about it.

solution?  what's the problem?  people use bptf these days.  and 'plenty' is relative, it is simply just not that popular of a site

Well, if you take the time to check the seller of the burning TC, they are from the staff. The burning  tc being sold right now is Sparta's

Here is the owner's profile: https://rep.tf/76561198054758757 You like that red, don't you?

A dev's https://rep.tf/76561198018323261 Probably a minor offence, but still banned in MP.

One of the staff: https://rep.tf/76561197964027496 Yikes

Another: https://rep.tf/76561198132226518

What do they have in common, they are banned in one or more communities and some even SR-marked, if someone with a track record like Sparta is trying to sell or buy or broker my items, I will rather just do it myself. Legit? Maybe, but you also need to understand these are also the people related to the constant Ddos attacks that have been happening quite frequently on backpack.tf and Marketplace.tf.

Are there any alternatives? No, not yet. I understand the frustration of not able to sell items for real money after December 15. However, we won't be using mannco.store, unless the current owners decide to drop ownership and sell their website to someone reputable (which is highly unlikely since they have probably made good money) or they regain our trust, which won't be easy.

An alternative will come, it will come from someone reputable and will act as a trusty middleman for all our cash trades. All we need to do is wait.

Wowow sexy sparta banned since when, had no idea. Basically deposit scammed someone not too long ago, only thing keeping them from running with everyone's items is the commission money they make I bet. I'll think twice about selling.
