7 Days tradelock on Dota2 items

i just traded a few arcanas to a bot and i can confirm they are all untradeable for now.

 

Tf2 keys will become the new currency for csgo items?

 

Can we expect this tradehold of tf2 items soon?

trade holds will be the final nail in the coffin for tf2 trading I think, hopefully every valve employee has completely forgotten that tf2 exists so we skip this trade hold mess

Sometimes you gotta ask yourself if valve even knows what they are doing.

 

Imagination: Adds 1 week trade cooldown to dota = gambling is no more

Reality: Gambling sites dont care and probably switch to another game

And btw gambling is not illegal, it is only if it involves people under the age of 18 (atleast in most countries), wich is a responsability of the gambling website's owner, not Valve.
Its like if a country decided that all cash must have a 7 days hold and it is checked by the banknotes serial number due to some casino allowing underage people to gamble, it would make no sense at all.
If they decide to tradelock for 7 days tf2 keys too that's not a big deal tbh, we still have refs, buds, tickets, bills, max's, plenty of "currencies" to use, the problem instead is if they decide to lock ALL items, in that case i believe tf2 would die as a whole as the economy is one of the things that keep it with a solid playerbase despite the lack of updates and stuff.

(and the amount of money it'll cost versus how much money in damages you'll get back isn't really worth it)

Steam trading down -> people can't deposit -> key prices "go up"
