nothing really. its just all about research and making good decisions. at least in my experience

although, steam inventory helper can help for huge pure offers that contain like 400 keys

You  can use Github/juliarose tempermonkey script to enhance trading experience.

You can even trade fast from your android phone. Just install Mozilla Firefox for android and install tempermonkey extension on android firefox.

You can add 1000s of keys to trade in a click

A lot of tools are already made in the form of browser scripts, to name a few:

https://github.com/juliarose/steam-trade-offer-enhancer Julia's updated version of scholtzm's steam-trade-offer-enhancer

https://github.com/juliarose/backpack.tf-premium-sales-finder Highlights recent sales on premium / item histories and adds compare links

https://github.com/NetroScript/backpack.tf-miscellaneous-extensions A bunch of backpack.tf related extensions

https://github.com/Nuklon/Steam-Economy-Enhancer Adds useful things to your steam inventory / SCM pages, though this one may break on trade offers with steam-trade-offer-enhancer

https://forums.backpack.tf/topic/46559-script-the-history-bastard/ Personally have this disabled because it kind of breaks the looks of some steam pages, but generally its useful

https://github.com/ZeusJunior/steam-tradeoffer-alert Not self promotion desktop notifications for trade offers

And some you have to pay for to get

I personally have a bot that checks my friend requests and accepts automatically based on reputation. Also, it removes comments automatically so that impersonators don’t see people who added me.

Maybe backpack.tf automatic but I heard that it was unsupported and had some bugs. https://github.com/Nicklason/tf2-automatic. Is there something wrong with me or was it updated a month ago o.o

Thats not backpack.tf automatic

disallow the usage of bots, so that the economy is run by the actual players.

I've seen all of these (except i'd never use a Zeus script) except this one. Interesting:

  • In inventories add a Sort by paint
  • In inventories add a Sort by spell
  • In inventories add a Sort by level
  • In inventories add a Sort by scm price
  • In inventories add a Sort by Classifieds (shows you all the listed items)
  • Allow the reversion of the groups from a sort
  • Filter by class on backpack.tf/effect/
  • For unusuals you can not only filter for class but now also filter for miscs (manually curated list, if you want more open an issue)
  • When building a search for classifieds or premium you now can autocomplete skin names
  • Marketplace link for any item
  • Premium search for decorated weapons
  • Spells are highlighted in inventories (green dotted lower border for 1 spell, red for multiple spells)
  • If possible a trade offer link will be added to the profile links, so you can offer a trade even when the user has no listed item

Tempting.

it'd be cool to have a system that could scan the amount of keys and metal you have in your inventory  and then reccomend you sell orders equal to or below the amount you have, and also have a graph for item prices on the main page so users could predict trends in key/metal/bud prices
