HELP SOMEONE SCAMMED ME

I know that I am an idiot, but what he was saying makes sense. Why would he risk his whole backpack just to scam someone.

Note that the account of the guy you linked doesn't match with the account of the guy you were talking to. You even mentioned in the chat with the guy that they were trade banned. The account you linked is not. You should not be inciting witch hunts on the forums, especially if you're gonna link the wrong guy.

https://help.steampowered.com/en/accountdata/GetFriendMessagesLog

Click on the profile of the guy you were talking to, take uncropped screenshots your entire conversation with them, hover over their name so their steam URL pops up on the bottom left corner of the browser in at least one screenshot, and if they aren't already site-banned, report them on the site by clicking the red flag under their name.

Your aren't going to get your item back. You'll have to cut your losses and move on. At the very least, you can learn some things from this experience, such as not accepting friend requests from trade-banned users, or how this particular type of scam works

You've fallen for one of the most common scams, where an impersonator convinces you to deposit an item to a fake bot. The item is gone at this point and there is no way to recover it. You can report the accounts involved, but that's it.

No, that is the account he is impersonating. Never trust a reputation link someone gives you; you need to look it up yourself.

For example, this is the real Monster Pandaz's steam page: https://steamcommunity.com/id/MonsterPandaz/

Compare that to the last image in that imgur gallery and see all the differences.

Again though, make sure you're reporting the right accounts. The one you have linked in your original post is completely innocent.

See that extra r in the id name? Impersonator.

There's also quite a few other differences between the two pages like the steam level, the showcases, the bio, the inventories, the steam groups,  the badges, and friend lists.

This is the guy that scammed you:

Unfortunately, he is already well marked as a scammer, so there is really nothing you can do beyond learning from this and moving on.

God dammit dude. Thanks for finding the account though. I appreciate it. Do you know anyway you can cope with this bullshit

cope?  as was suggested, learn and move on.  I'd suggest searching the word "scam" on these forums, give the many threads where people report being scammed a read (i.e. arm yourself with knowledge)
