tried checking his bp history and it wouldnt let me go back past 4 months, even tho i was clicking on some time in 2012. 

i have a theory that it existed before backpack.tf tracked item histories so it might not have been tracked in 2011.

still looking for info on what quality and color they had.

 

that user did have a lot of painted hats so i could see how they were messing with paints and could have made it. just a theory tho.

Yep it works, Its painted Muskelmannbraun, as its a static page sadly I cant pull the history from this.

 

Edit: Grabbed the guy who listed it and he sold it before backpack.tf grabbed his inventory for the first time.

sounds like the only place to go from here is to add him and see if he can check his steam trade history. hopefully hes alive

Yep I was able to pull the original item id from a lucky indexed outpost page. Tossing it into the backpack.tf item history link shows that It's NEVER been grabbed on backpack.tf!!! https://backpack.tf/item/383004989

unfortunate, ill check his profile when i get home and if hes been online in the last year or so and see if he'll accept.

I just remembered a few other things. 

 

I'm sure you're familar with Toxins' stuff; non-counting stranges and various painted nonpaintables are all he's really got for glitched stuff right now. I know there's at least two lime-painted g. fetti pencil pushers out there.

Also, dunno if this counts, but the Bonk Helm shows the sheen when you apply a ks kit to it, due to the weapon models used in the hat. I'm deathly curious if this would also be true for the Sammy Cap and Respectless Robo-Glove, as they use the Sandvich and Gunslinger respectively. I've got a spec ks Caffeine Cooler, which I thought would show the sheen, but either it's very faint or the Bonk cans in the cosmetic aren't actual weapon models.

i am familiar with toxins inventory, lots of oddities there you wouldnt actually realize are oddities.

Will also be asking around for those other universal killstreaks, does sounds like a plausible theory. i did have a hot rod self aware beauty mark and i can confirm that it showed the sheen on it.

 

if anyone has screenshots of sheens showing on weapons ingame please send them to me. will need them as proof when i list off each item that the sheen are visible on.

When item levels were first introduced they were available from 0 to 100. However a later update changed it from 1 to 100. So the level 0 Vintages aren't exactly glitched, but they are rarer than other levels amongst Vintages and they are certainly an oddity amongst item levels as a whole.

^ In total there are 7 different Collections which are affected by the glitch. The four Gun Mettle skin collections, the Gun Mettle Cosmetic Collection, and the Quarantined and Confidential Collections. Skins just make up the majority of the affected items because of statistics.

Outside of skins and cosmetics other affected in those collections include; the C.A.P.P.E.R, Shooting Star, Giger Counter, Batsaber, and Burstchester.

EDIT: I should have read the second page first, turns out people had already confirmed it was Muskelmannbraun. At least I know my memory is still good.

do you have any forum posts or screenshots of any sort of proof on this vita saw? I believe what youre saying, i just need proof for the compendium.
