What are the most bizarre (glitched) items that have ever existed in TF2?

What are some of the best, magnificent odd items that exist or have existed in TF2, and what is possible story behind them?

 

Notable mention is Circling Heart's Bill's Hat. I am so old that I remember this being the case (proof that this is not my imagination: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5049bc219ae21a4f79000000 no other proof though, was well documented on some forum that's down now.)

 

There are also some oddities that have an unknown to me origin, like 1 of 1 Normal quality Purity Fist: https://backpack.tf/overview/Purity Fist and also some other cosmetics too.

 

There were also instances with Unique botkillers, Stock botkillers or even Deflector weapon used by Robot that ended in one's hands (Seems like these were removed form backpack)

A peculiar oddity of weapons that was made were the Cow mangler 5000's that were painted using glitched paint tools.
There are some still around to this day.
This was patched however, so now, they are rare to find.

You sure this wasn't just an april fools item when bp.tf just introduced those, and forgot to make it so you can't make a price suggestions for those items?

Now that's cool! I wonder if Bacon Grease would transform the quality of it.... Also it must be pretty recent because date points to April '19 and it's the 1st owner.

I think that's when he first unprivated his inventory, but who knows he might've gotten through trade and stayed private for years. From what I know the only way of getting normal weapons was through mvm I think, where youd have gotten a normal weapon instead of an australium during a short period before it was patched. I'm kind of thinking this guy must've gotten a pan drop during that time frame, and it was the only pan drop, making it 1/1. Soo technically rarer than a strange unusual fn elite grade skin?

Although not particularly rare, and almost everyone on this site probably knows all about it by now, but the Killstreak kit fabricators that could be applied to ANY item in TF2 and some of the humorous items that came from it, such as Specialized Killstreak crates and keys, were really neat. I had a buddy that got one of those glitched Spec KS kits and got a good amount for it even for the time.

I find it kind of silly that the universal-application kits are still selling for well over $100 when 95% of the time nobody is willing to pay any extra or much extra on an unusual for it having specialized killstreak / pro KS applied to it.

I wish they didn't patch it so the paint no longer appears in anything but just the item's info. That took away a TON of the purpose of owning/buying them.

I've owned few of these and AFAIK they used to apply shine to hats  and even flames/horns to eyes if You scored enough kills with a weapon with KS applied.

Normal weapons like strange normal scatters and snipers were dropped during a gun mettle glitch, where strange skins that got unboxed, were normal strange weapons instead. Then there were normal australiums, happening during the same short time frame where any australium drop would be strange normal australium. Fatman and puddilicious have normal australiums. Those are all strange normal, so the pan should have been strange normal as well if it originated from the same glitch. Im guessing its a typical support granted glitch item like the purity fist and the ellis cap. Possibly the same dude that got the normal ellis cap got the normal pan too?

When it comes to bizare rare and weird items, there are a fuckton of them in existance that would fall into that category. Normal pan, Normal australiums and stranges, stranges without kill counters, the weird upgrade to premium map stamp thingy, level 0 australiums and so on are all pretty darn "weird" because of their origins. For my contribution to this thread, i have this:

This is a stockpile crate that once was used to get the normal bats. Its no longer possible to open them and get a normal bat, but back in the days a guy called Black Rain and some of his friends created a couple normal bats with a glitch involving this crate. The glitch is fixed and the normal bats are now rare collectibles, along with the long forgotten crates.

The normal pan has been around for quite a while. It was support granted to someone, don't know who, and this guy

bought it for pretty cheap (i forget how much) and sold it for $1200, I don't remember to whom. This happened years ago, and it seems to have disappeared. Probably in a dead/scammer bp.

 

Other oddities: painted vita-saw, no idea where it came from, and since been deleted

during and shortly after the glitch that enabled these to be unboxed he bought them for dirt cheap and has been slowly selling them off for a massive profit, and using it to buy all the other wacky stuff in his backpack.

my favourites are the unusual shirts.3 types of them and each has about 3-4 in existence in each.the names are called:

1.Hunter's Heavy(3 effects only.2 EOTL and 1 cloud 9)

2.Sleeveless in Siberia(4 effects.all 1/1 effect are all EOTL)

3.Curbstomp Coldfront(4 effects as well i think.all 1/1.effects are only EOTL

I heard that the circling hearts bills hat was a valve employee's gift to his wife in tf2, but they ended up getting a divorce and it was deleted. No clue if it's true or not, just a lot of rumors that i've heard about it.

I think it was deleted because it was tradeable, and that was a big no-no in Valve's eyes. Could be remembering wrong but I heard that somewhere.

No clue. Ages ago i had heard it was made by valve for an employee to gift to his wife for anniversary or something. They both played tf2 together, and other stuff happened and they got a divorce, making the hat get deleted cuz well...yeah.
