Nikspy Posted October 26, 2019 Share Posted October 26, 2019 Once again, I'm stuck on a crossroads... I have the option to buy a hot, or cool iron bomber. I've had hot before, looks decent, but not always visible, but I've never had the "cool" effect. Is it visible? I'm not honestly looking to resell this, so I don't need it to be liked by the general public. But how does it match up compared to the hot effect? I looked at the unusual weapon guide, but it was made during the gun mettle update, so it doesn't have unusual knives, swords, or iron bombers. So I don't have any idea which looks better... I've only seen isotope on YouTube on the iron bomber. But which would look better on the iron bomber specifically, Hot or Cool? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's the big problem with unusual weapons, two of the effects are big but not visible, one is small but more visible, the third is big and visible but expensive and only on a few skins/weapons. I personally prefer Hot, I feel like that in general it just looks nicer on most weapons since, ya know, most weapons heat up with continuous use. But I've owned Cool rocket launchers, and it's a nice effect as well. Both sell about the same and at the same price range and have similar visibility. Ultimately just test them in loadout.tf with your loadout(s) and really think and choose whichever one you like most. Unusual weapons are a lot harder to sell for the price you paid than aussies/stranges, so make sure you don't regret your purchase. No new halloween weapon effects is lame. 2019 Scream Fortress worst Scream Fortress. EDIT: Also make sure when you're testing them in loadout.tf you change the color of the background. Using dark backgrounds may make your sets look cooler, but a lot of great effects get completely fucked over by lighter / brighter areas. Green Energy, Haunted Ghosts, Hot/Cool, and Miami Nights, among others, get completely screwed over by how hard it is to see them in lighter areas.
