Running from crabs?? Scamming?? surely they arent the same

So need help convincing someone who lost a crab to me and ran that it's scamming. How do I do that since https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198196394830/ claims it isnt scamming since he didnt take anything away from me and a trade never happened. Thanks
