Do buy orders/sell orders affect an items price

So. I recently put up a listing for an item worth 7.5-10 keys according to this site. I put the listing up for 9 keys. When I come back a day later I see 3 or four bots undercut me, the sell orders doing all the way to 4 keys. While this is really annoying, my question is will this affect said item's price.

Depends on how long the market stays at 4.
