Witwicky13 Posted May 31, 2019 Share Posted May 31, 2019 I would go for a gargoyle case, just because of that cosmetic called catastrophic companion, but sadly the case is like 0.89 euro. Since that case it s kinda expensive I would unbox Winter 2018 or 2017, unless you are hoping for an unusual weapon go for Powerhouse weapon case. With the war paint cases, you have the chance for bonus items and you also can unbox a strange paint, which even if it isn't valuable, can offset the cost of the key itself. Similarly, the crates with the killstreak kits can more than pay for themselves if a Specialized or Professional Kit is unboxed. The problem with unboxing the newer crates is that at this point, that the hype of the items have died, making most pulls worth very little. If you're unboxing just to get an unusual though, you're far better off just buying the unusual outright. I wouldn't go with anything that has untiered cosmetics really, because they're all craftable now. Ref is worth nothing so most of the items you will get will be worth basically nothing. You might get a cool strange worth a few keys maybe... but there's enough cheap garbage in there that I'd imagine typically you'll end up with less than 10 keys worth of stuff from 36 crates and none of it particularly special. I'd be looking at Rainy Day, Gun Mettle, or a war paint case personally. I find the war paints tend to work out better for me than cosmetics. Diamond jozu Posted June 1, 2019 Share Posted June 1, 2019 multi class unlocked is hard with bad luck as you will end up hats worth 1.33 refs. go for killstreak kit crates which is 83 and 84.91 is shit try end of the line crate.not all hats is 1.33 refs.you can end up some good stuff.unusual effects over there can give nice effects but can still give robo hats. tho i've unboxed 2 non-robos.1 hat and 1 misc.you also can get the normal pool party taunt.strange cosmetics there are decent as well Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
N.J Posted June 1, 2019 Share Posted June 1, 2019 I can't remember whether it's #8 or #9 but those ones are a little more expensive though you're using regular Mann co keys which are cheaper than the graded crates, anyways one of the two of them drop lime paint and white paint which are like 2.5 keys each and the other paints are also like 15 ref, so imo those are the crates to go for if you want to minimise losses. Obviously with 36 crates your odds of getting an unusual are something like 1/3, maybe less, I know csgo knives are like 0.3%, but whatever floats your boat.
