Traded with a dude who just got banned, am I at risk?

So, a few days ago I received a trade offer out of the blue, which isn't too unusual (no pun intended), for my smoking Das Maddendoktor. Found here. I was selling for 25 keys having bought it for 20. A small profit but a profit nonetheless Still well below backpack.tf price, which was submitted 2 years ago.

 

Now, he offered me his electrostatic steel shako. Which you can find here. This hat is worth slightly more but he explained in his trade offer, which you can find here, that he was a fan of the hat. I am of course naturally suspicious of someone offering a hat slightly better (subjective, I know) but was under the assumption that he thought he could get a better price for his hat in the long run and I figured the same so I accepted.

 

However, I didn't do so without a background check. I checked the hat to see if it was duped. I checked his Steamrep, which remains clean, and I'm not totally certain but I'm pretty sure I'd have to have seen his backpack.tf profile. I saw recently he's been banned. I didn't know he was a scammer and I did my homework to check and found it clean. I'm wondering if I'm at risk now with backpack.tf

I will say you missed once big part of the homework: You didn't look at the steam profile itself.

Go there, and you see a Level 2 account with 2 games. That just screams that the account is an alt or a fence, and shouldn't really be traded with.

Looks like he has gotten wind of this thread. his profile is now private and you cannot see what games he has installed.
