Norah Posted May 10, 2019 Share Posted May 10, 2019 So, a couple of days back I purchased a Scorching Flames Duck Billed Hatypus, when I added the seller about a week ago they were unmarked, had decent trust, so I figured they seemed to be a decent bloke. https://backpack.tf/item/7329941877 https://backpack.tf/u/76561197964134741 Not too long after I purchased the hat, they were marked as a scammer via SteamRep. Looking at the report on the site, I do recall them saying a similar PayPal shpiel to me, but as I never trade cash, it never went further than their approach. To try and be a bit more cohesive, since they saw I was selling my Mining Light on MP at the time, they offered to quickbuy it with PayPal cash, but I declined, since I don't like making cash trades. They came back to me a couple days later willing to trade their Hatypus + some adds on my end for it. Their PayPal offer was after I approached them about the Hatypus. Truth be told I should have really seen it as a red flag as you say, but this isn't the first time I've heard the, "I like the Y you're offering on my X, but I'm not willing to trade X for Y", kind of thing from genuine traders.
