Idk for me many things from time to time remind me that im lucky, i still complain tho. The most fresh example i can recall is when i watched a sort of documentary about child gold miners risking their lives for gold in the Philippines.

This dude was not earning millions, he had to live life with no father on the street with guns pointed at his head, literally. He played basketball and managed to survive long enough to make it to the NBA and make millions. Then, gets a fucked knee and is forced to retire from what he loved, and what he did with his best friend.

Also I never claimed to feel bad for him, I'm just saying I feel grateful for what I grew up in, after reading what he had to endure growing up, nothing about his NBA career.

adolf's baiting to get attention. i'd also say that i've lived a very lucky life so far, and it's sad to read stuff about people who grew up in such a situation almost being able to improve their lives and not making it.

Sure there's that, but I also think there's a bigger underlying problem. I think that the mindset that is "LMAO!1!!!ONE!11! WHAT A BABY! WHY CAN'T HE JUST GET OVER IT," is a super toxic way to view actual pathology that people (wealthy or otherwise) suffer from. While I disagree that money can't buy happiness, I cannot disagree with the fact that money alone cannot cure pathology.
