Marketplace monopoly or why geel have not still banned

Hello guys today i have got permaban for buying keys for cash on keys-store.com, i dont know why, but it is very similar to the monopoly of the marketplace, it means that if you are a scammer you can easily sell stolen items on marketplace and geel will not get ban like morg(who created keys-store), but on other sites it is forbidden, otherwise the site is blacklisted and everyone who trades from this site will get permaban

edit: my bad.apparently not a fishy website but to answer OP's question you have to face the consequences.atleast you're banned for trading with scaammers.you can still trade with people

Avoiding the obvious issue of scammers dumping stuff to scrap.tf whilst *someone* can profit from it, it doesn't justify you trading with scammers. *shrug*.

 

P.S. Geel owns bp, so it would, therefore, translate that he would not be banned from his own property. 

P.P.S, Geel manually takes scammed hats off of marketplace. No Idea what happens to them, but I have heard that this is, in fact, an occurrence.

Not really. That site is the most popular site in russia related to tf2 trading. Also, keys are cheaper, and there are like 7 payment options, most of which are really easy to use for Russians like myself

It because mp.tf is really bad for Russians, if you want cashout or cashing in.

Key prices:

In-game: 170 rub

SCM: ~150 rub

Keys store: ~100 rub

Cashout via mp.tf: ~70 rub

 

Keys store is the best one (and actually the only safety one). But now im afraid to use it, after m0rg/keys store get banned. Because i can get banned too

The owner of keys-store was purposefully using his own site to purchase items from scammers and scammer alts for his own profit. Geel and the marketplace staff, on the other hand, not only go out of their way to ban accounts offloading scammed items but do not take items from the site - users simply use it as a portal to sell their own stuff.

 

Geel has no input on the rules here, and I have no stake in how much money he makes.

 

As for how we handle people who then trade with keys-store accounts, we're looking at it. The owner and many of his accounts are known scammer fences, but we are aware that when someone accesses the site they aren't necessarily going to be aware of that, and even if they background check the bot account sending them an offer they may already have paid in cash by the time they get to that stage. We are discussing internally how to manage this, as we haven't had an issue before of a site owner using his own site in this way. You have to understand that while we obviously don't wish to punish users unknowingly using a website in good faith, we also don't want to allow the owner to freely abuse his website to launder scammed items.

Here's something that's kind of fucking scummy and is basically as close to price misrepresentation as you can get on behalf of Geel who runs scrap.tf

Change the wording here because any unusual on scrap is never worth as much as the site tells you, the site will buy it at this price, the item is almost certainly worth substantially more.

I know and have personal relationships with multiple people who have sold god tier items to scrap for ridiculous losses simply because it says "is worth" and they're not big enough into trading to know better so I can assume this happens to other people too.

Geel as far as I understand it is a primarily english speaker so it's not even like this is a language barrier issue with grammar, seems like a deliberate choice of wording to essentially steal from the unknowing and profit from them and I don't even know how this hasn't been mentioned before.

well also on bitskins there is no kind of check for stolen items, you can literally sell whatever you wish. Even if the owner is banned doesnt mean you are buying stolen items, and if the prices is better than marketplace.tf or any other site i dont see why prevent people from using this. Any skin selling site can be used as a laundery then since most of them doesnt run any background check, imo the banned tag to this guy is extreme  but im not the admin here just saying my opinion. Anyway let us know what u admins will do in such cases. 

p.s its also not easy to track whoever make a purchase or not on this site, because you can fill someone else trade offer and complete payment, as few mates did with me because i had no qiwi or ru payment things.

My friend sent me a link to this topic, and it became interesting to me.

The moderator did not like that I made an exchange with a user who found a Bug in the site mannco.trade (him able to get up more than 900 unusuals hats from bots site)

Although at the time of purchase of the item I did not know about it and this user was not blocked on backpack.tf 
As the moderator wrote, "You should have guessed yourself that these things were obtained by dishonest means"  - This is the the most idiotic statement that I heard from the backpack moderator
-This user was on the first page for the cost of inventory backpack
-In the history of the items it was indicated that they were received from the Mannco.trade bot  
After that, the moderator changed the reason for blocking. And wrote "Scammer fence - DO NOT TRADE"  I wonder who I ever deceived? I have a good reputation. If he has a personal dislike, these are his personal problems. If he thinks that I traded with scammers, then the reason should be the corresponding "Trade with scammers"

Re-read my ticket, what your moderator wrote, I am sure that all closed correspondence are saved.

If you think that sites the marketplace, opskins and other similar sites. Users not sell stolen items, you are deeply mistaken...   

I'm going to update my site add all items, unusuals and  convenient methods of payment and withdrawal for foreign users. I do not think that users will like it if they are be blocked on the backpack.

I already wrote in December 2018, when I was banned. 
Your moderator Toughsox just closed my appeal. Why should I write the same thing several times?  You are the administrator, re-read the old appeal with Toughsox.

For 9 years, I have 0 reports, clean steam rep and I no banned on the other sites.
