Jean Arthur
Welp. I just bought a Blizzardy Storm Coldfront Commando (Love the effect+hat+Star Wars Theme) but I checked its history and I see it was recently scammed. I had no idea. Steam Market gives me no info on the seller. I just wish to state my innocence and I hope I won't get in trouble for this...
Zeus_Junior
There is no way to check the item history on SCM as far as i am aware. You wont get in trouble for this
Scott Bakula
There's really no way to tell unless the seller has a unique profile pic, but even then that's no guarantee. I've had it happen with a few in my collection. It sucks, but at least those hats have found a loving forever backpack.

XenSakura
You won't get in trouble but i believe a friend of mine helped create a plugin that can identify the seller. Lemme see if i can find it EDIT: FOUND IT!https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/372333-scm-seller-profile-checker/code
Jean Arthur
^Okay, so now I can see the profile of the person who put on the market. That person is not any of the accounts on the hat's history. What's the best way to go about this? EDIT: The seller is already marked to be a scammer alt. {Filet}
If OP is genuinely concerned, why not open a support ticket on steam about it? I know they're not supposed to dupe items anymore but at the very least maybe they can return the item to the user and reimburse your purchase. (this is a 2 week old thread by the way) steam won't do anything about you buying scammed stuff, and it'd be a huge waste of time to open a ticket about it
