thenutshack
It is my first time using backpack.tf but before I start doing the buy and sell orders, I'd like to know a few things first before I start the bullcrap: 1: What exactly are buy and sell orders? 2: Overpay; explain to me like I am 5 years old. 3: The value of keys on the bottom right corner of the thumbnail of the listing/order is how much the seller/buyer wants? So like there is a sell order listing that says "20 keys" on the bottom right corner of its thumbnail, and seller wants 20 keys right? If not what exactly are they? fclarke
1. Buy orders are listings that you can publish on the site, and others will offer you the item that you are requesting to buy. Sell listings are listings for items that you are selling, and people may offer you items or "pure". - Generally, if you request pure, you'll get it. - If you create a buy order, but do not meet the amount that you are willing to pay, then the listing will not be shown to others. 2. Overpay means paying more than the price listed, generally overpay is used if you are paying in items. People will want more than the listing, as they will have to sell off the hats to get pure. 3. It depends on your current page. If you are viewing someone's inventory with 0 classifieds, then yes, that is the proposed value of the item. If you are on a classifieds page or the user has that item for sale, then it does mean that's what they're looking for. If you want screenshots, let me or others know, or add me. Peachi
just so u know don't stick to backpack.tf prices, always check the buyers and sellers for a more accurate and in date value of something (for instance there's a lot of strange items that sell and BUY for higher than the backpack value)
