Why do people use bots to judge prices of items??

just a little discussion to kick up because i've noticed prices of items are dropping because theyre being sold to bots for a decent amount less than what they're worth, when we all know those bots are just gonna resell that exact item for the exact or more than bp.tf price, shouldnt the prices of items then stay the same instead of dropping???

The price drops of items are not dictated by the bot buyers alone, usually the price drop suggestion is backed by multiple sales (successful bot and/or non-bot sellers) below the current backpack.tf price.

Let me give you an example. If an item has a backpack.tf price of 9.22 ref, but is bought by bots for 8.66 and sold for 8.77 regularly, which are both below the current price, then a price suggestion of 8.66-8.77 is needed.

Check some of my price suggestions for reference:

usually what I'm seeing these days is a range from what the bots buy for to what the bots sell for

^ @"shouldnt the prices of items then stay the same"

but if the bots are able to resell for more than the current price, the bp.tf price shouldn't stay the same....
