spoyk
For example, if I purchased a Strange Normal Scattergun, could I festivise it, killstreak it, rename it, redescribe it, and add strange parts with the gun retaining its Normal quality? My gut feeling says yes, but I would like to be sure
Mengh.
I actually was cautious just like you when I sniped a Specialised Killstreak Normal Batsaber and thought that augmentations to it would take off the Normal quality. From first-hand experience, the answer is yes: even if you add on or remove modifiers like parts, spells, names, kill streaks etc, it retains its Normal quality. Jazzy
Yep, I don't believe there's any item ingame whose quality can be strictly removed/changed by adding things like Killstreaks/Festivizers/Strange Parts onto it. The only instance I would believe this can happen would only be with Taunt Unusualifiers (I.E. Geniune Shred Alert -> Unusual Shred Alert, not Unusual Genuine) as the Unusualifier basically destroys the taunt and gives you a new one with a random Taunt Effect. I guess you can say it's more like Strangifiers, which work the same by adding the ability to count kills to any quality of items except strange, which leads to items such as a Strange Genuine Anger or Strange Vintage Camera Beard, things like that.
