XenSakura Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 First off, do you guys make profit off of dumb people like me? Second off, how do you find desirable hats that are easy to sell that are being quicksold?
Diamond jozu Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 well if you have the knowledge to like check sales of items then you can easily argue to make them sell it cheaper. as for unusual hats thats easily to be sold for keys from quickbuyers, you just gotta find a nice hat with a nice effect.apart from the normal old effects like burning or sunbeams, you can aim cheaper types like disco beat down or cloud 9.non-gen unusuals can be like the rare ones such as frostbite, morning glory,etc.. another way is to make a nice set with multiple unusuals like 3 cloud 9 cosmetics+a good-looking unu taunt with FOD or do the same but with sunbeams 3x+holy grail.if you think getting 3 of the same type is too much, you can combine the hat effects
Andrei#Ukrainian Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Buying Cloudy Moon Jumper's Jeepcap for only 666 keys, pfff, easy profiting

You are thinking that someone is going to see that listing and be like "WOAH HIGH PRICE. Oh wait, he doesnt actually want that much. But I better offer him a TON of profit thought. since he really likes it!" But in reality someone sees it and thinks, "What the fuck? Is this guy serious?" And they will close your listing, eliminating any partial interest they had in the hat. If you don't want to sell the jeepcap, dont sell it. Also, it is generally accepted that your listing price is your pure price. So on your Bomber it seems like you are asking for 160 keys pure. That is an automatic turn off for anyone who was remotely interested and saw your listing. (btw it is 2018, do yourself a favor and lower your price. you wont get 160 in overpay for an all class that not many people like with an effect not many people like.) TLDR your prices are too high, regardless if they are your real prices. a backpack.tf listing is your first impression on a buyer, so if they see a high price, theres a huge chance theyre just gonna close your listing and move on without another second of thought.

I have reasons for stuff.
XenSakura Posted August 22, 2018 Author Posted August 22, 2018 ok but aside from my absurd listings, how do you make profit? I find it hard to find desirable quicksells, as if it's a desirable quicksell, someone has probably already snagged it up.
Mengh. Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 For a guide that covers every aspect of unusual trading, I'd suggest you watch @TheVirtualEconomist's Unusual Trading Guide. It's a pretty succinct guide into getting into unusual trading and the sort of methods you'd be looking at in order to access the Unusual Trading market, whether it be quicksells or advertising. Once you get a firm grasp in the concepts, try your hand at some low-tier trading and slowly make your way to a goal like 250 keys, where you can say that you've become experienced enough to get into high-tier trading / bulk low-tier trading.
