Just report the user/ leave a negative trust on their bp.tf and move on, this is not the place to discuss scams, nor is their answer way to retrieve your lost items.

try to be more careful in the future.

Unfortunately, it's incredibly difficult to retrieve items lost from a scam. The only thing you can do is report the user and be watchful for future scams. Scammers can be nasty, research the different scam types. The amount of items you lost was low anyways; many other people have lost much more items and money. Stay safe out there!

Why trade a festive jarate for a vintage one and why overpay for the ham shank? What's your Social Security Number?

Don't look at the others those trades were okay and go to jail if you'd ever even consider doing that

That's most of my items and they were worth $11.00 USD! THAT'S MORE THAN $11.00 AUD! MY BRAIN PRODUCED DOPAMINE WHEN I HAD THEM!

Perspective. You lost a few dollars worth of items, or the equivalent of an hour or so of work at minimum wage, making those items easily replaceable.

Everyone gets hit by this life lesson at one point or another, shattering their self-perceived aura of invincibility. Be thankful that your experience only cost you 10 bucks instead of $10,000.

Well first of all is your problem. $11 USD is not alot, many people lost more than u. Also, He was a marked scammer and u didn't even background check him.You shouldn't trade when u are tired. If you are a new trader go to youtube and watch some guide and how to avoid getting scam.

Agreed. $11.00 is virtually nothing in the TF2 economy. If the items lost are marketable, then you should be able to purchase them again on the Community Market. If you don't have a credit card, you can buy gift cards at many retail stores. They come in denominations of $20, $50, and $100. You should easily be able to buy new items on the Market then. Good luck!

I'm sorry this happened to you mate. I recently got scammed for the first time ever and it was my Unusual Ground control purple confetti worth 34 keys in exchange for nothing (scammed by the Steam wallet code tactic) which I was ignorant of, even with 4 years trading experience. Unfortunately (and this is because of Steam policies) you will not be able to retrieve your items back you got scammed. However what you can do is report the scammer in question and learn from the mistakes which lead you to this situation.

Remember to always background check the person in question you are trading : rep.tf.

Check prices on backpack.tf

And also this is very simple and important, if the trade has a lot of complicated procedures which is asked from the individual trading you. It is most likely a scam and they are trying to confuse you. Remember in the future to keep trades as simple as possible.

And another thing don't trade when you are tired you will just be an easier prey for these people.

On a final note, scammers are people who instead of using the time of truly experiencing the game  find enjoyment out of ruining the fun of others and stealing their items they (or their parents) have payed for, they're just sad people really who probably lack social interaction in real life or who have no other means of amusement other than to be mean to others behind a computer screen.

Karma will do it's thing for people like this in my opinion.  - What comes around goes around. =]
