I've bought and sold 5 spelled unusuals. This has been my general experience. Maybe OP tried selling his unusual to spelled item buyers, which isn't likely to work because spelled unusuals require much more initial investment and come with more risk than just buying, for example, a die job killer exclusive or spectral spectrum bills hat.
